Practical information for speakers 2027

Welcome as a speaker at The Sports Summit, 16–18 March 2027!

We are very pleased to welcome you as a speaker at The Sports Summit at the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre in Gothenburg.

Here you will find the information you need before and during your participation. This page will be updated as needed in the lead-up to The Sports Summit.

Before The Sports Summit

Register as a speaker

Please register as a speaker no later than 10 February. Your registration provides us with the information we need to prepare for your participation, including your contact details and any dietary requirements.

As a speaker, your name badge gives you access to The Sports Summit throughout all three days, including the conference programme, exhibition, lunch and coffee breaks.

Book your hotel

We have reserved a limited number of hotel rooms for speakers at The Sports Summit. Gothia Towers is located directly adjacent to the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre.

Rooms are available on a first come, first served basis, so if you need accommodation, we recommend booking as early as possible. The hotel room is booked and paid for by the participant.

Hotel accommodation can be booked as part of your speaker registration.

Prepare for your participation

Programme, rooms and your personal schedule

You can find the latest conference programme, session times and rooms on our website. Programme and room information will also be available in the event guide on site.

Content and format

If your session has a moderator, they will contact you well in advance of The Sports Summit to plan the content and format of the session together with you and the other speakers.

If you have questions about the content or format of your session, please contact the person who invited you to participate in the programme.

Are you leading a session yourself?

Even if you are not formally appointed as a moderator, you are welcome to have a look at our Practical information for moderators ». It includes useful tips for anyone leading a discussion, interview or other session.

Stage and technical equipment

Our conference stages are equipped with:

  • armchairs for discussions and panels
  • a standing table for individual presentations
  • screen/projector
  • computer with internet access
  • presentation remote
  • monitor and clock
  • an appropriate number of wireless microphones/headsets, as well as a handheld microphone for audience questions

At each stage, a technician and stage host will be available to assist with microphones, presentations and other practical matters. The stage host can also assist with time signals during your session.

All our stages have ramps.

If you have specific technical requirements or need additional accessibility support in connection with your participation, please let us know no later than 10 February.

Audience interaction

A handheld microphone and stage host are available at each stage to enable questions from the audience.

If you are planning a specific interactive format or would like to use a tool such as Mentimeter, please let us know no later than 10 February so that we can make sure the format works with the technical setup on site.

Presentations

If you are using a presentation, images or video during your session, please bring your material to the technicians in the Speakers’ Lounge on the exhibition floor. The technician will also check that your material works correctly.

You can bring your material on a USB drive or upload it from your computer according to the instructions provided on site. Please visit the Speakers’ Lounge well in advance of your session.

Presentations cannot be handed directly to the technician at the stage.

On site

Collect your name badge

To collect your name badge and any tickets for evening events, please have your barcode available when you arrive at the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre.

The barcode can be found in your registration confirmation and is scanned at the registration area, where your name badge and any tickets will be printed. The barcode will also be sent to you by SMS the day before The Sports Summit begins.

Please make sure that the mobile number in your registration confirmation is the number you will be using during The Sports Summit.

Please wear your name badge visibly throughout your visit.

Lunch and coffee breaks

Lunch and coffee breaks are included for speakers and are served at designated locations on the exhibition floor upon presentation of your name badge.

Please provide any dietary requirements when registering as a speaker.

Speakers’ Lounge

The Speakers’ Lounge is located on the exhibition floor. Here you can prepare for your session, sit down and have a cup of coffee.

Tuesday 09:00–16:00
Wednesday 08:30–16:00
Thursday 08:30–14:00

Before your session

Please arrive at your stage at least 15 minutes before your session begins for a short check-in with the moderator/stage host and technician.

You will receive assistance with microphones and other technical matters on site.

Continue the conversation at Träffpunkten

Träffpunkten is an informal meeting area where speakers and participants can continue the conversation after a session.

We want Träffpunkten to be a natural extension of the conference programme. After your session, participants can continue the conversation with you, ask further questions and follow up on the perspectives discussed on stage in a more informal setting.

If you have the opportunity, please go to Träffpunkten directly after your session. It is a great opportunity for speakers and participants to meet and continue the conversation.

Evening events

On Tuesday 16 March, 16:00–20:00, you are welcome to join us for an informal gathering at Twentyfourseven, the café and bar in the Gothia Towers lobby, with special prices at the bar.

When registering as a speaker, you can also purchase a ticket for Årets branschfest, taking place on Wednesday 17 March.

Photography, filming and recording

As a participant at The Sports Summit, you may be photographed, filmed or recorded. The material may be used in communications and marketing for The Sports Summit and future events.
