Inspiration and professional development for professionals involved in promoting physical activity for public health.

Inspiration and professional development for professionals involved in promoting physical activity for public health.

The conference brings together nearly 1,000 representatives from Swedish municipalities and regions, the sports movement, politics, academia and the private sector to explore how we can create the best possible conditions for the future of sport and physical activity.

Through keynote talks, panel discussions and workshops, the programme connects research, practice, policy and international perspectives. Participants gain new insights, practical tools and inspiration to bring back to their own organisations. The conference is mainly held in Swedish.

The programme addresses key issues shaping sport and physical activity today and tomorrow, including sports facilities and spaces for movement, public health and community development, equality, gender equality, inclusion and accessibility. It also explores leadership and volunteering, the development of sports clubs and associations, safety and crime prevention, emergency preparedness, and the role of sport in building resilient communities.

As a conference participant, you will have the opportunity to:

  • learn from peers and leading experts
  • gain new perspectives on real-world challenges
  • explore the latest research and current best practice
  • discuss future priorities, choices and solutions
  • take away practical ideas and tools for your own work

The programme is designed for professionals working to shape the future of sport and physical activity – from strategic community development and sports facilities to public health, organised sport and organisational development.
