Future urban planning and collaboration in focus in this year's conference program.
There is growing interest in how urban planning can enable and stimulate everyday physical activity. The need for new facilities, especially swimming pools, is urgent in many municipalities. Equally relevant for the sector are issues of sustainability, digitalization, and equality. With limited municipal resources, attention is turning towards new solutions as well as regional initiatives. The importance of stronger collaboration at all levels is increasing and is essential for creating equitable public health, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to be active.
With this in mind, this year’s program focuses on future urban planning and collaboration. Over the course of three days, five themes will be explored, each addressing how we can collectively create important change and renewal during challenging times, balancing economic, social, and environmental considerations. Four of the five themes will run throughout the entire conference, while the international theme will be concentrated on Wednesday, featuring lectures in English.
The conference program will be released in mid-November 2024—so stay tuned.
